OMEGA Dynamic

The Omega Dynamic was released for sale in 1968 as a model within the Prix de Ville de Genevé collection.
An edgy and almost futuristic design was aimed at those wanting a watch that did not conform to the classic or sporty style that Omega was renowned for.
The original Dynamic models burst onto the watch scene with its oval case and a choice of coloured dials and straps.
The Dynamic experienced success in its short span on the market and was reintroduced twice further in the 1980’s and 90’s, the model is no longer available in the current Omega offering but is still extremely popular on the Preowned watch market due to its distinctive design.

Having been originally introduced by Omega, as a contemporary model within the Prix de Ville de Genève in 1968, the Dynamic was quite the statement piece that didn’t conform to the design style that had been set by the brand thus far.
The Genève Dynamic was brought to market as a contemporary timepiece, with the intention of appealing to a younger generation of watch wearers. The new collection was aimed at those who wanted, an edgy and individual timepiece that they could customise with options of dial and strap colours to fit their own style.
The oval-shaped steel case that was designed for the perfect fit on the wrist of the wearer set the Dynamic apart from all Omega models that had come before it.
The Omega Dynamic was ahead of its time yet perfectly captured the 1960’s-70’s vibe with its uniqueness.
Omega has become known for its military style and sports watches such as the Submariner, so although the Dynamic experienced success upon its release it was discontinued in the 1970’s.
The Dynamic was reintroduced twice further in the 1980’s and 90’s, with the second generation released in 1984 bearing evident similarities to the original and the third wave in 1997 which has a more military feel and stepped away from the original edginess of the first generation models.
The Omega Dynamic is no longer available in the current Omega offering but is still extremely popular on the Preowned watch market due to its distinctive design.
