Country Codes

On the Rolex Papers and Warranty Cards from between 1980 and 2020 there are 3 digit country codes for the country in which the Rolex was purchased originally. These have never been an official statement from Rolex themselves about these country codes but these are some of the commonly known country codes.

From 2020 Rolex removed the country code from their warranty card, although this has never been confirmed it is believed by many that this is because Rolex believe that all of their watches are equal as all of their watches are made in the same factory in Switzerland.

How to find the Country Code on your Rolex Papers.

For watches aged between 1980 and 2006, the country code will be shown stamped on the papers, this is usually located towards the top of the papers. 

When the papers changed to the warranty card in 2006 and ran up until 2020, on the rear of the card it displays the store or jewellers it was purchased from, who by and the date. On this white strip, the warranty card has the country code on the top right corner.
