In 1985 Breitling released its latest and most powerful pilots watch to date, with the release of the Aerospace. The Aerospace watch had a innovative multi-function quartz chronograph. It had a double display, both analog and digital displays with two LCD screens.
The LCD screens boast the ability to display a second time zone or display the local time in another manner. It has many functions including hour, minutes and seconds display, chronograph timing down to 1/100 of a second, alarm, countdown, second time zone and calendar. All of which are accessible and activated by simply using the single crown.
The Aerospace was released in a sleek and understated design, but with a very attractive and popular titanium case, that featured the bezel from the Chronomat with the signature rider tabs. This was a very popular metal to be used within the aviation circles as it offered a strong and light watch.
Throughout the years the Aerospace has had many updates including being equipped with the officially chronometer-certified SuperQuartz caliber.
