ROLEX CLASP CODES

What are clasp codes?

Rolex clasp codes are small codes that can be found on the inside of the watch's clasp. These codes are usually 1 - 2 letters followed by a number which can help indicate when the watch was manufactured. Up until 2010, Rolex used these clasp codes to help date bracelets however this was changed in 2011 to randomised codes which means the bracelets manufacture dates can't be identified.

The letter corresponds to the year, so for example 'G' equates to 1982 and the number corresponds to the month. This would mean '1' would be January and '12' would be December.

Here's an example:

A code of CL4 would mean the clasp was made in April 2004.
