The collaboration between the two powerhouses began in 2002, Bentley motors were in the process of creating the Bentley continental GT when they commissioned Breitling to design a clock for the dashboard that would reflect the quality and craftmanship of the new motor.
This lead to the many years of the Breitling for Bentley range of watches being created by the watch brand, combining Swiss excellence in the horology field and the absolute class and excellence of the British motor industry.
The watches in the Breitling for Bentley collection have carried the details that draw from features on the Bentley, most notably the distinctive bezel design that was created to mirror the pattern of the grille on the luxury car.
Although the Breitling for Bentley collection is no longer part of the Breitling range, the Swiss brand still manufacture timepieces in connection with Bentley, now part of the Premier collection.

The partnership between Bentley Motors and Breitling began in 2002 with Bentley tasking the luxury Swiss watch house to make a clock to adorn the dashboard of their new car, the Continental GT, Bentley Motors requested a timepiece that would reflect the prestige and craftsmanship of the car.
Breitling delivered on the commission and a partnership between the luxury brands began. The combination of Swiss excellence in the horology field and the absolute class and excellence of the British motor industry made for a successful partnership that spanned almost 20 years. The combination of the two powerhouses led to the creation of the Breitling for Bentley range, The watch has it all to offer for both car, and watch enthusiasts alike.
This partnership was reinforced when the British motor company returned to the Le Mans 24 hour race , the brand had dominated the race and made a name for themselves when the famous ‘Bentley Boys’ were triumphant in the 1920’s & 30’s and made a fantastic comeback in 2003 to take first and second place . Breitling was one of Bentleys main sponsors at this time and went on to create a Breitling Bentley Le Mans limited edition watch. This lead to the introduction of the long running Breitling for Bentley range being introduced into Breitling catalogue of timepieces.
Breitling crafted core ranges as well as limited edition watches across the Breitling for Bentley range during their 19 year partnership, the watches were linked back to their namesake with details that reference the brands distinctive car design. The most instantly recognisable feature of a Breitling for Bentley watch is the bezel, which was designed with a crosshatch pattern to replicate the Bentley grille. All round cased watches in the range had a distinctive wheel motif on the case back, the exception being the flying B which was the only model in the range that was designed with a tonneau shaped case.
Although the Breitling for Bentley collection is no longer part of the Breitling range, the Swiss brand still manufacture timepieces in connection with Bentley, now part of the Premier collection and currently has the Premier Bentley Mulliner Chronograph, Centenary and Tourbillon watches in its offering.
